Post image of Windows 8 Installation Method Changed

In a blog post at Building Windows 8, St. Pierre, an employee at Microsoft, showed a video (embedded at the end) explaining the new changes in the installation method of Windows 8.

The installation method would consist of the following steps:

  • Downloading Windows 8
  • Running Windows 8 setup
  • Choosing the appropriate installation method; direct install, boot from USB, Boot from ISO(DVD)
  • Creating a Bootable medium if chosen
  • Start Installation of Windows 8

Although, all three of the installation methods were previously available but they had to be done independently in-order to perform, now, these three processes are found in one place thanks to web page download support for Windows 8.

Also, as you will see in the video below, the USB is formatted and then bootable USB is created automatically right during the pre-installation process which had to be done manually in previous versions of Windows using USB/DVD tool or other tools.

The new download and install process of Windows 8 has made Windows 8 more easy to install as compared to previous versions of Windows.
